Fast Facts:

• connectnow commenced in 2001
• We started in a shared suite in Stanley St – in working class West Melbourne.
• The desks we used were old doors!
• We serviced Victoria only, had only two call centre operators, and a big day for us was 5 connections!
• Whilst we knew that our service was a real help, it took a while for Australia to understand what we were really about.
• More and more customers around Melbourne started to give us a try.
• We stuck to our initial principles of:
• Never miss a connection date
• Provide customers with choice – let them choose providers they like
• Hire enthusiastic people
• Spend time getting processes right
• Invest in our own systems
• In recent times connectnow has grown beyond Victoria, and services all states and territories in Australia and New Zealand.
• Our team has grown to more than 40 people.
• By 2010 we want to have helped one million Australians move home.
• And we now work on real desks not old doors!
